Yoga and Ayurveda are sister sciences of ancient Indian healing system that have been practiced for more than 5,000 years. The intention of Yoga is to self-realize and Ayurveda is to self-heal. It is a complete system that aims to bring harmony, balance, and vitality into the mind and body. When practiced together, Yoga and Ayurveda create coherency, which allows for holistic healing and growth on all levels. This is achieved by practicing asana (postures), mediation, pranayama (breathing techniques) combined with many other practices. Integrating Ayurveda with Yoga can create a deeper experience that can be applied on and off the mat.
